School Profile

Located in the heart of Winnipeg, Balmoral Hall was founded in 1901 by a group of entrepreneurs to offer girls an education that pushed all limits and exceeded boundaries girls faced. An independent day and boarding school for girls aged 2 to Grade 12, BH welcomes students from around the world.

With over 100 years of boarding experience, BH girls are offered daily opportunities to explore and pursue their interests and academic pursuits while they make lifelong friendships. A dedicated team works closely with students to ensure their safety and encourage participation in boarding activities planned throughout the week and on weekends. Boarding students are housed on campus in a modern facility with private dorm rooms for 80 girls in a loft-like setting. The Head of School promises the custodianship of each international student.

Our acclaimed ESL program recorded an unprecedented success in 2018 with 56% of our grade 12 ESL students achieving level 7 or 8 on IELTS – ensuring direct entry to the university of their choice in North America and leading international universities.

Balmoral Hall's exciting and dynamic 18,000 square foot, 3-story Centre for Arts and Design (CFAD) continues to break down barriers to learning. It provides an industry-leading facility that supports enriched and innovative experiences in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

Balmoral Hall encourages students to discover their passions in academics, arts, and athletics through a curriculum spanning classical studies to 21st-century technology, fostering academic excellence.
