School Profile

Founded in 1930, St. George’s School is Vancouver’s only independent school offering a Boarding Program. With nearly a century of tradition, St. George’s has built a global reputation for academic excellence and character education. Boys in Grades 8-12 (Boarding) and KG–12 (Day) thrive in a dynamic environment with over 50 academic electives (including 25 APs), 40 athletic options, and 50 clubs. A dedicated guidance team supports each student’s pathway to post-secondary success - 100% of graduates are accepted to top universities worldwide. Financial Assistance is available for both international and Boarding students, making this world-class experience more accessible.

Academic Programs

Advanced Placement (AP)

St. George's School offers a challenging academic environment that follows the British Columbia provincial curriculum and adds a wide breadth of additional programming that enables students to customize their learning. The School offers over 25 different Advanced Placement (AP) courses, plus a wide range of electives in the arts, applied design, and technology.

As an all-boys School we focuse on the specific needs of boys while ensuring that each of our students has a global mindset. Using approaches like Harkness and project-based-learning, our students are consistently shown how to apply learning in real life, problem-solving contexts as they seek authentic connections between their curricular and real world problems.

Being a boarder at St. George’s does not mean being isolated. Our boarders, who come from 20+ countries worldwide, interact with over 750 local day-students while they enjoy all of what Vancouver has to offer — whether urban, cultural, or outdoor.
