Queen Margaret's School

Where: Location: Shirley Burr Equestrian Centre, QMS, Duncan, BC
What: This is a one-of-a-kind camp for girls and boys ages 11 to 15. We’ll explore animal anatomy, body systems, treatments and medications, bandaging and nutrition. We’ll visit the Pacific Raptors Centre and bring in special guests to talk about real-life animal emergencies. Please read more for details and to register.

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH (ISPY)
The Academic and Cultural Program is an intense, challenging and rewarding ESL program designed to give students who have some or no English a well-rounded academic and cultural curriculum. It provides a focus on the development and mastery of English language skills including listening, speaking, writing, and reading. The Academic Preparation Program is designed for students who have a background in English and want to enhance their academic English skills in an active and scholarly setting. This intense program will improve oral and written communication skills and hone the research skills you need in order to succeed at the high school level. Both programs offer pronunciation practice with a certified speech therapist as well as interaction with local Canadian students who act as mentors and encourage the authentic use and development of English skills.
SMUS SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMIES 2013
Join students from across North America in this unique summer program. Youth between the ages of 12 and 18 can spend a week enhancing their skills in a specific area through an intensive, hands-on learning experience with expert instructors. Structured classes include practice sessions, exercises, skill-building activities, group work, field trips, and other forms of learning that complement the subject area. Choose from Youth Opera Lab, Vocal Variety – In the Key of Glee, Musical Theatre, and SummerBand.

Balmoral Hall School
Balmoral Hall Summer University Prep Hockey Showcase (July 5 - 7)
The University Prep Hockey Showcase combines a learning experience providing an elite development opportunity for players with exposure to university scouts. This program brings together players with aspirations to play at the university level. Now in its third year the Showcase is attracting more and more attention from university / college scouts, as well as players from both Canada and the US. For the 2013 Showcase, there will be coaches from the NCAA and CIS representing schools such as University of Minnesota Duluth, University of North Dakota, and University of British Columbia and the University of Connecticut to name a few.

With over 40 camps and almost 200 weekly sessions, Appleby College Summer Camps has something for everyone. Camps are organized into four major programs. There is an Early Discovery program customized for younger campers aged 4-7 with both full and half day camps and weekly themes. Older campers, aged 7-15, will enjoy a wide variety of choice from three major program areas : Sports & Adventure, Arts & Media and Science & Success
Appleby Camps feature highly qualified instructors, low camper to instructor ratios, nutritious lunches, and daily swims (with full day camps). Standard hours are from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day with drop-off and pick-up between 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The school also offers optional before and after camp care services from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Trafalgar Castle School
Trafalgar Castle's Summer Day Camp is an eight-week program that runs for the duration of the summer months, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (July 2- August 23). The camp is for children aged 4-12. As the campers explore the castle, the Day Camp offers a wide variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors. Everyday campers enjoy doing outdoor games, court sports, archery, rock-climbing, science, art, robotics, and swimming (with certified lifeguards) Every Thursday, campers are provided outside entertainment and every Friday, the week ends with a Parent Show, where you can see what the camper has been up to all week!

Trinity College School
TCS will once again host the popular Discovery Camp this summer. Do you know a child between the ages of 4 and 14 who would be interested in having an incredible day camp experience? TCS offers many programs from which to choose, including the popular Junior Bears, Choose Your Own Adventure and Senior Leadership options! Bishop's College School
BCS Summer Language Camp in English or French
Founded in 1836, Bishop's College School is a perfect blend of picturesque landscape, historic architecture and modern facilities. Situated in Sherbrooke (a borough of Lennoxville), Quebec, the school is approximately 160 k.m. east of Montreal. The 240 acre campus includes playing fields, tennis and squash courts and large wooded areas.

What: Students receive instruction in English and French curricula at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and each level includes oral and written work that provides a solid base for work in grammar and conversation. There is an emphaiss placed on improvement in spoken French and English but supplementary study i s given in reading, writing, and comprehension skills. There is also a sports and activities programme which consists of supervised team sports and off-campus activities. Students choose from among a list of sports including soccer, tennis, softball, volleyball, squash, basketball, flag football and ultimate frisbee. As well, nearby beaches, riding stables and a golf course provide other opportunities.
